How much does Downeast Drones charge ?
Project scope, flight time, editing of video and still pictures are all factors. We do offer hourly rates and package pricing so please contact us to discuss your project.
How are videos and pictures delivered ?
Upload to cloud site, Youtube, Vimeo. Files can also be provided on a flash drive.
How long can Downeast Drones fly ?
Our Drones are able to remain airborne for about 30 minutes depending on wind conditions. Additional batteries allow flight time of over an hour for each operation.
Does Downeast Drones have Insurance ?
Yes, we have specialized insurance specific to Drone operations similar to that used for commercial and private aircraft operations. Insurance is provided through AOPA, the Aircraft owners and Pilots association.
What area do you Cover ?
Downeast drones operates primarily in the three county S.E. North Carolina region of
New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender Counties however we are licensed and insured to fly anywhere in the US.
What weather and altitude considerations do you have ?
No flights in rain or Wind conditions above 20 mph.
FAA regulations require drones fly no higher than 400 feet above ground level. Flights in controlled airspace including most of the City of Wilmington (5 mile radius around ILM) require flight plan approval from the FAA. Flights (for compensation) can only be completed by commercially licensed FAA and NC State Aviation certified UAS (Drone) Pilots.
Downeast Drones has complete commercial drone license, permits, registration and insurance for flight operations to capture professional images and video of your project.
